BC BIKE RACE

BC Bike Race uses a 350-mile course that Andreas Hestler, a Canadian endurance mountain biker, designed and approved. This means you’ll be riding on some of the most popular singletracks and the lushest forests in the world. These seven stages run through nine stunning west coast communities. Each community has its own unique elements and qualities that make British Columbia a top destination.

Only two men teams are allowed in the race: mixed teams, mens, women, 80+ combined and 100+ combined. There were two man teams and five four-person teams.

THE FINAL DAY
On www.bcbikerace.com

The Whistler Finale It’s hard to believe that racers stood at Shawnigan Lake’s start line just seven days ago in nervous anticipation for the 350-mile adventure ahead. It’s all over seven days later.
The recovery is possible!

If you have never had to prepare, present, serve, clean up, and clean up a meal for nearly 650 people, it is almost impossible to comprehend the demands. The BC Bike Race without the catering staff would not be possible. There wouldn’t be enough fuel to allow racers to finish each stage, and there wouldn’t have been enough fuel to fuel the organizers to prepare each stage. This is a small tribute to Rick and Trish, as well as all the foodies, who were the unsung heroes in the BC Bike Race. They provided outstanding food and exceptional service to racers and staff, and they did so with grace and grace even under extreme pressure. Many, many thanks.

Now, let’s get to the last race day action!

BCBR 2008’s Stage 7 final start line was at Whistler Creekside, nestled at Whistler Mountain. BCBR competitors were tired from six days of racing and had to work hard to get to the finish line on the final day of the race. They faced 304.8m of vertical climb, which was 15 minutes of intense climbing.

Riders had to work hard for their turns. The reward was Whistler’s finest singletrack offerings.

Although the day was hard for many riders, the reward of reaching the Spruce Grove park finish line would be worth it.

Seamus McGrath (Team Old School) and Chris Shepard, top stage finishers, powered through the course.
